Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DomiLabs ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use the ChargeMeow mobile application (the "Service" or "Application").
We believe that your battery health and diagnostic data should belong solely to you. ChargeMeow is designed from the ground up with a zero-server, privacy-first architecture.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not operate remote user databases or collect personal information.
- No Account Required: You do not need to register an account, sign in, or provide an email address, phone number, or name to use the full functionality of ChargeMeow.
- No Cloud Upload: We do not transmit, upload, or sync your device diagnostics or battery usage history to any remote server or third-party cloud storage.
2. On-Device Local Processing of Battery Data
ChargeMeow processes device and battery metrics strictly locally on your device:
-
Hardware Telemetry:
- Real-time battery status, percentage, voltage (V), current (mA), estimated power wattage (W), temperature (°C), and battery health status are read directly from your device's low-level OS APIs (Android
BatteryManagerand iOSUIDevice). - This data is displayed in real-time and used for charging benchmark calculations on your device.
- Real-time battery status, percentage, voltage (V), current (mA), estimated power wattage (W), temperature (°C), and battery health status are read directly from your device's low-level OS APIs (Android
-
Apple Battery Diagnostic Logs (Analytics & IPS Logs):
- When you import or share an iOS diagnostic log file (such as
Analytics-*.ips.ca.syncedorlog-aggregated-*.ips) into ChargeMeow, the file is parsed 100% locally in volatile memory. - ChargeMeow extracts battery metrics (cycle count, maximum capacity FCC, nominal charge capacity) and saves the summarized result to your local device storage.
- The original raw log files and extracted metrics are never uploaded to any server.
- When you import or share an iOS diagnostic log file (such as
-
Charging Benchmark & Session History:
- Charging test results, duration, speed metrics (Speed L, Speed C), and user-selected cat mascot skins are stored locally using sandboxed JSON files.
3. Third-Party Advertising and Analytics SDKs
To support continuous development and offer ChargeMeow for free, the Application integrates industry-standard third-party advertising SDKs:
- Google AdMob (Google LLC)
- AdMob may collect and process device technical identifiers, approximate location (IP-based), and advertising identifiers in accordance with Google's policies:
- Google Privacy Policy
- Google Advertising Policies
- AppLovin MAX (AppLovin Corporation)
- AppLovin may process non-sensitive device characteristics, operating system versions, and performance data to serve rewarded and interstitial ads:
- AppLovin Privacy Policy
4. iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
On iOS 14.5 and later, ChargeMeow may request your permission to access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework:
- If you tap "Allow", personalized advertisements tailored to your interests will be displayed.
- If you tap "Ask App not to Track", IDFA tracking is disabled, and you will only see non-personalized, contextual advertisements. All core battery monitoring and diagnostic features remain fully accessible regardless of your choice.
5. Operating System Permissions
ChargeMeow utilizes specific system permissions solely to deliver intended features:
- Notifications (
POST_NOTIFICATIONS): On Android 13+, this permission enables ChargeMeow to display live charging speed on your lock screen and notify you when reaching the 80% charge protection limit or 40°C thermal alert. - Foreground Service (
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): On Android, this service ensures accurate continuous charging speed calculations while your screen is off. A persistent notification is displayed while monitoring is active, which you can stop at any time.
6. Data Retention, Control, and Deletion
All application data, including charging test history and diagnostic reports, is stored in private application sandboxed storage.
- You can delete individual test sessions or clear all diagnostic records directly within the app's History tab.
- Uninstalling ChargeMeow permanently removes all locally stored data and preferences from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
ChargeMeow is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app updates or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date.
